Personal data means any information concerning the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable individual. This includes information such as, for example, your name, address, telephone number and date of birth, but also data relating to your specific career etc. by reference to which a specific individual can be identified with reasonable effort. However, information which cannot be (in)directly associated with your real-life identity is not personal data.
If you apply to us electronically, i.e. via e-mail or using our online form, we will collect and process your personal data for the purpose of executing the application process and preparing contracts on the legal basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 b), Art. 88 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in conjunction with Sec. 26 Para. 1 Satz 1, 1. Alt. Bundesdatenschutzgesetz (BDSG).
If you give your consent to be included in the talent pool, we will store and process your personal data that you have submitted to us in the course of the application procedure for the purpose of processing and actively contacting you (by email, telephone or via a professional network) in the event of corresponding vacancies in the talent pool and for the implementation of pre-contractual measures on the legal basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 a) and b), Art. 88 GDPR in conjunction with Sec. 26 Para. 1 Sen. 1, 1. BDSG.
Raisin does not use fully automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR during the process.
By submitting an application via our recruitment website, you express your interest in taking up work with us. In this context, you transmit personal data, which we will use and store exclusively for the purpose of your job search / application process.
In particular, the following data is collected during this process:
Furthermore, you can choose to upload expressive documents such as a cover letter, your CV and reference letters. These may contain additional personal data such as date of birth, address etc.
Only authorized HR staff and/or staff involved in the application process have access to your data. The personal data is stored, as a rule, exclusively for the purpose of filling the vacancy for which you have applied.
Your data will be stored for a period of 182 days after the application process has been concluded. This is usually done to fulfill legal requirements and/or defending ourselves against any claims arising from legal provisions or in case you consented to be included in the talent pool. After this period, we are obligated to delete or anonymize your data. In case of anonymization, the data will only be available to us in the form of so-called metadata, without any direct personal reference, for statistical analysis (for example, share of male and/or female applicants, number of applications per specified period of time etc.).
Should you be offered and accept a position with us during the application process, we will store the personal data collected as part of the application process for at least the duration of your employment.
Data transmitted as part of your application will be transferred using TLS encryption and stored in a database. This database is operated by Greenhouse Software, Inc., which provides our applicant-tracking, recruitment management system and operates the recruitment website (https://www.greenhouse.io/). In this context, Greenhouse acts as our processor pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The processing may include transfer to a third country under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The processing is carried out on the basis of a data processing agreement between us, as the controller, and Greenhouse, ensuring that your personal data is handled in accordance with the GDPR and our instructions.

You have the right to request information about the processing of your personal data by us at any time. In the course of providing you with this information, we will explain the data processing to you and provide you with an overview of the data stored about your person. If data stored with us is incorrect or no longer current, you have the right to have this data corrected. You can also request the deletion of your data. If, in exceptional cases, deletion is not possible due to other legal regulations, the data will be blocked so that it is only available for this legal purpose. You can also have the processing of your data restricted, e.g. if you believe that the data we have stored is incorrect. You also have the right to data transferability, i.e. that we send you a digital copy of the personal data you have provided us with on request.
In order to make your rights as described here applicable, you can contact us at any time using the contact details given in section 2 above. This also applies if you would like to receive copies of guarantees to demonstrate an adequate level of data protection. You also have the right to object to data processing based on Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR or for direct advertising purposes. Finally, you have the right to complain to the data protection supervisory authority responsible for us. You can assert this right with a supervisory authority in the Member State in which you are resident, your place of work or the place of the suspected infringement. In Berlin is the competent supervisory authority: Berlin Commissioner for Privacy and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin.
Right of revocation and objection. In accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR, you have the right to revoke any consent you have given to us at any time. As a result, we will no longer continue toprocess the data which was based on this consent in the future. The revocation of consent does not affect the legality of the processing that was carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation.
Insofar as we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR, you have the right pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR to object to the processing of your data and to give us reasons arising from your particular situation which, in your opinion, indicate that your interests worthy of protection prevail. If you object to data processing for direct marketing purposes, you have a general right of objection, which will be implemented by us even without giving reasons.
We reserve the right to adjust this data privacy statement at any point in time to ensure that it is in line with the current legal requirements at all times, or in order to accommodate changes in the application process or other processes. In this case, the new data privacy statement applies to any later visit of this recruitment website or any later job application.
