Important notice

  • Fraudsters often pretend to be banks, fintechs, financial advisors, or even your trusted financial partners. If you're ever unsure about a message, email, letter, or call claiming to be from Raisin, always contact the Raisin customer service team before taking action.

Telltale signs of a suspicious message

  • Unsolicited calls: Raisin or its partners will never call you to try to make investment decisions.

  • “Exclusive personal offers” sent via email: Raisin will never send you personalised investment offers by email that aren’t also published on our official website. If you can’t find an offer in your logged-in Raisin account or on our website, it’s not from us.
  • Urgency and pressure: You’re asked to act immediately or “within minutes.” Fraudsters often create time pressure to bypass your rational decision-making. Raisin will never pressure you to act instantly.
  • Generic language or subtle inconsistencies: Look for formatting issues or spelling mistakes, especially in professional-looking emails. These are red flags for phishing.
  • Incorrect or suspicious URLs: Before clicking on any link, hover over it and check the full address. Watch for strange characters or domains pretending to be Raisin. The Raisin UK website URL is https://www.raisin.com/en-gb/. Any other links claiming to be Raisin UK are likely fraudulent.
  • Unsecured websites: Before entering personal info, make sure the page is secure. Look for the padlock icon in your browser. Click it to view the SSL certificate and check if it’s valid and issued to Raisin.
  • Requests for personal or financial information: Be very cautious if you are asked to provide passwords, mobile verification numbers, banking credentials, or identification details, especially if the request is unsolicited. Raisin will never request this information outside our secure platform.

If something seems off, it probably is. Stop, breathe, and verify. When in doubt, don’t click – contact us first

What to do

If you receive a message that causes concern:

  • Do not respond or click on any links

  • Take a screenshot if helpful
  • Contact the Raisin customer service team yourself via email or phone on official channels to verify
  • Report unexpected emails or texts claiming “urgent action is required”. Raisin will never ask you to act under time pressure
  • Report messages promising high returns if you act fast
  • Report suspicious calls or emails asking you to provide your login credentials or mobile verification numbers. Raisin will never ask you to provide your login credentials, and we’ll only request a mobile verification number after you’ve taken a specific action on our website (such as opening an account or logging in)
  • Report requests to share access to your devices
  • Report requests to transfer funds to a new or “better” account outside of the Raisin platform

What Raisin will never do

If someone contacts you claiming to be Raisin and does any of the following, it is a fraud attempt.

  • Contact & pressure
    Raisin will never:
    • call you unsolicited to make investment decisions
    • pressure you to make fast or immediate decisions
  • Access & security
Raisin, their employees, or customer service will never:
    • ask for your password, mobile verification numbers, or login details
    • ask for access to your phone, computer, or other devices
    • ask you to download our app from any source other than the Apple App Store or Google Play
  • Money & accounts
    Raisin will never:
    • ask you to transfer money to a foreign or third-party account
    • ask you to move funds to accounts not visible in your Raisin dashboard. Only you can transfer and withdraw money from a partner bank, unless you make a direct request to Raisin customer services

You can verify the ownership of accounts you intend to send funds to by using the pay.uk sort code checker here

  • Offers & communication
    Raisin will never:
    • send exclusive investment offers by email, SMS, instant messenger, social media or post that are not also visible in your Raisin account and on our official website
  • In-person contact
    Raisin will never:
    • visit you at home
    • request physical access to your devices

All interest rates displayed are Annual Equivalent Rates (AER), unless otherwise explicitly indicated. The AER illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once a year. This allows individuals to compare more easily what return they can expect from their savings over time.
