All work and no play is — no way to build a strong company

We’re continually impressed by what members of our world-class team at Raisin manage to get done after all their hard work at the office.

We know what we offer will only be as good as the people who build and continually work to improve it. That’s why we have a truly extraordinary group of people behind the scenes, including Raisin Product Owner for Investment Products Luke Jones, who takes his play as seriously as he takes his work: we’re proud that he’s not just running the Berlin Marathon this weekend but doing it to raise money for a great cause, WaterAid:

“Access to clean water, sanitation and proper hygiene are not a given and without all three, people can’t live dignified, healthy lives. With all three, they can unlock their potential, break free from poverty and change their lives for good.”

Before adding a degree in tech to his resume and taking on his role on our investment products squad, Luke studied civil engineering with an emphasis on water infrastructure. That’s how he happened to know WaterAid. When a good friend declared his intention to run the marathon, and Luke realized his parents would be in town for the race, he decided to make it not just a memorable event but also a meaningful one.

Along with supporting his effort, the rest of us will be cheering him on from the sidelines!
